About the Artist : Lynda Cookson
“I am inspired by colour, movement and texture – and believe that a good dose of humour is very important in certain aspects of my work – as in ‘The Piggy Collection’. I mainly use acrylics and oils on canvas, sometimes using my own handmade paper and various fabrics for texture beneath the paint. Most of my work is done with palette knives but I also use sponges, pieces of cardboard and even paper table napkins and scrunched plastic, with brushes laying claim to only a small part of the process.”
